Just having a moment with the iPad and WordPress.
The sky is Turner-esque. The time is 1820, the time we said goodbye. The soundscape is provided by Radio 3 and muffled play calls of children next door.
I am at peace. I trust that you are.

It’s just beginning to get light here…
here is North West Wales. We are taking a short break not to far from home base, arriving yesterday.
Yesterday’s journey was fun, but it’s taken me a little longer to wind down. Probably because this is our first break away for over 18 months, and recent annual leave has been utilised more than enjoyed as study time.
But the hunched shoulders are starting to relax and the opportunity of a walk on the beach is pulling me out of the daily grind-mind-set.
When I say the beach, I mean choice of the many fine beaches only a short drive from the cottage – sounding like a holiday brochure there, but it’s true; this area has several just a stones skim away.
Yesterday we visited Dinas Dinlle (apologies to Welsh speakers if misspelt). Previously known only to me as a venue for ‘pleasure’ flights in rickety old planes. The other half was completed blown away (we both nearly were) by my open-eyed wonder at what to him has always been just the end of the runway. A mixture of salty air, pebbles, sand, waves and being able to see for miles towards Anglesey and beyond signified the proper start of our holiday.
This is my first blog entry away from home base, using an unfamiliar set up, but I’ll try to load a picture onto this one.
…… and breathe …..

Hooray. Now have replacement keyboard from PC World.
All keys seem to be functioning on this one.
Ironically, I think that I was able to type the word keyboard without difficulty on the last one. Maybe that it was full keyboard functionality means 🙂
MinG
have jt prchaed a ew bletooth keyboard for y iPad2. adly oe of the key oly work iterittetly.
these are s, m, n, u, –
(I keyed this using the on screen keyboard)
Well I’ve failed if the target was a blog entry per day, somehow I don’t think so.
I turned to the Tarot deck for inspiration. Yesterday and drew the Queen Of Pentacles, inverted. The card represents a woman who is keen to develop the work side of her life or someone with clear goals in mind. the orientation could mean she has lost her sense of direction is confused or bored with life.
So true, so true,
So far 2012 has been at best dull, and at times unsettling and I’m exhausted already.
The winds of change have been howling around the house, but I’ve no interest.
Perhaps I should turn the card and look to myself once more.
Yours, in limbo,

Having committed to the one entry a day, I feel slightly uneasy due to the lack of having anything to say.
Hence, I shall be visiting the WordPress site to determine whether I need worry.
I might see how easy it is to blog directly from there because this interface is somewhat limiting in the style department (should match my aspirations).
And the tenuous link to change?
Well, me checking small print for one…. Tomorrow . Who knows….
Ciao!

Like many bloggers, I’ve received the annual challenge.
Blog once a day, every day on a given subject. A tall order. Particularly for a less dedicated student such as myself.
What to choose? Music seems an obvious candidate. Perhaps faith. Or that greyest of subjects, the economy. I think I’ll leave that to Robert Peston, bless him (and his OVER     DELIBERATE   DELIVERY). Leave him alone Min6, he’s only doing his job.
So. Choices, choices. I think that the key here will not be to come up with something awe-inspiring. I don’t need to change the world, or even one person’s world, every day. It is about the everyday.
My choice of subjects is…. change. Which gives me the right to change the subject every day. Ha ha. Rules are for bending. But being a rules driven individual, I’ll at least try to link each entry.
And so to bed (thank you Shakespeare). It’s late, and I need my blogging head on tomorrow.
Well, I finally moved over to the dark side and joined the millions of iPeople with iDevices. Mine’s an iPad2 and very smart it is too. Occasionally a little too smart for an old bugger like me, but I’ll learn (or give up).
Have to say that the WordPress app has already thrown up a couple of bugs which I’m quite suprised to see. I expected better than seeing hyperlinks appear in the middle of blogs and not being able to scroll through a blog entry without having to go into edit mode.
Probably down to me. Must dash, the other half is getting a little tired of my iAbsence.
iMore later.

At 4.10 this morning, I woke up concerned. Which hasn’t happened for a while.
My waking dream yesterday morning involved hearing the latest Nickelback song. What was the first thing I heard on the radio? Correct. Now that could be a small coincidence because it is getting a lot of airplay.
This morning my waking dream concerned a call from my mother on her mobile ‘phone. She had just been to see a musical in Manchester and was calling to ask me an important question about a saint ‘in ecstasy’. I said that I thought I knew the one and had an image in my mind of a person stretching / reaching towards the sky. A bit like the figures around the Football world cup. Connecting with this, she asked me one more question, which me being me (even in my dream), I interrupted her before she finished.
Her question was “Pele or So…”.
“Pele!” I interrupted.
The dream ended and I awoke concerned that my mother, a woman of some faith, has made her final trip towards the sky. As consciousness took over, I realised that this was unlikely to have been revealed to me in a dream and got on with worrying about my workload and whether the cat would take his heart tablet without fuss.
Then I see on the news that the Brazilian football legend Socrates is critically ill in hospital.
The image they show of him is a jubilant young man, celebrating a goal or victory with arms outstretched towards the sky.
