Having difficulty getting to my writing challenges, so for a quick fix, I have entered
Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge: 2015 Week #15
I took this at Doddington Hall Gardens, Lincolnshire, almost two years ago today.
I like the contrast between the well trimmed yews and the relaxed lawn with wildflowers.
Doddington Hall stands majestically at the end of the avenue. There was only one way to head from here.
More later,

Lovely shot – those wildflowers are really pretty, and as you say, a nice contrast with the formality of the clipped trees.
Thank you. It is a special place with a mixture of gardening styles. It also presented us with a rather interesting tree which I intend to post a photo of soon. Hoping to visit again later this year.
And I hope your week is terrific too 😃
Congratulations! I have chosen this post to be featured in my Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge.

Thank you. You’ve made my day, week, month…. Thanks again, I’m flattered.

A very wonderful photo. I would have loved to have visited there.
Thank you. It’s a lovely part of England. We were staying in a converted stable block on the estate. A wonderful holiday with happy memories.
Beautiful spring day!
It was! Sunny with a light breeze. Perfect.
I agree that the contrast is interesting. The path really draws the viewer towards the house.

Thank you. There was some traditional planting designed to draw you into the next garden room, which was (if I remember correctly) a formal box hedge knot garden.
Thank you! I think that they were about 12 feet high when I took the photo. Looks like they had recently been tidied up, so used to be taller.
What a great photo! Can you give me an idea of how tall the yews are?I am just curious..
